Ingredients

  • 4 bags Black tea Can be swapped with earl grey for floral hints
  • 1/3 cup Granulated sugar Adjust between 1/3 to 1/2 cup to taste
  • 3 cups Water For brewing the tea
For the Fruity Twist
  • 1 orange Juice from Freshly squeezed
  • 1 lemon Juice from Adds tartness
  • 1 cup Pineapple juice For tropical sweetness
For the Garnish
  • Fresh mint Optional but recommended
  • Additional citrus slices Lemon or orange slices for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a heat-proof container, combine 4 black tea bags and 1/3 cup of granulated sugar. Boil 3 cups of water and pour it over the tea bags and sugar. Allow to steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags and stir the mixture to dissolve the sugar completely. Set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea mixture with 2 cups of cold water. Add the juice of 1 orange, 1 lemon, and 1 cup of pineapple juice.
  4. Stir well to combine all flavors and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  5. Fill glasses with ice and pour the tea mixture over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint and citrus slices.
  6. Store any leftovers in mason jars in the refrigerator for up to one week.
