  • 2/3 box Dried Lasagna Noodles Regular, not no-boil
For the Meat Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey (93% lean / 7% fat)
  • 1 medium Medium Yellow Onion Shallots can be used

For the Marinara Sauce
  • 3 cups Marinara Sauce Homemade or store-bought

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Soak the dried lasagna noodles in a large bowl of hot water for about 20 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese with half of the grated Parmesan, parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and saute for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add ground turkey and season with salt and pepper, cooking for 6-8 minutes until browned.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Lay five soaked lasagna noodles on top.
  5. Add half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then a third of the cooked turkey mixture, and a handful of mozzarella.
  6. Repeat layering with five more noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, another third of turkey, and mozzarella. Top with remaining noodles, marinara sauce, and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let the lasagna cool for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
