Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and spread the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake according to package instructions for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried minced onion. Mix gently and shape into small patties.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and cook patties for 2-3 minutes per side until browned, adding cheddar cheese during the last minute to melt.
  4. To assemble, start with a baked tater tot, add a dollop of ketchup, place a beef patty topped with cheese, add a pickle slice, and finish with another tater tot. Secure with a toothpick.
  5. Optional: Garnish with sesame seeds or mustard before serving.
