Cooking Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- In a high-sided pan, heat over medium-high heat and add the ground beef with a pinch of salt, cooking until browned.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the pan, stirring well and cooking for another 6 to 8 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked beef mixture into the greased baking dish, stirring in the goat cheese and two-thirds of the Swiss cheese.
- Sprinkle the chopped scallions over the mixture and top with the remaining Swiss cheese.
- Bake uncovered for about 15 minutes until hot and the cheese is golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
