Step-by-Step Instructions for Chocolate Ganache Tart
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush the chocolate wafer cookies in a food processor. Combine with melted butter until damp and sand-like. Press into a 10-inch tart pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until set and firm. Cool completely in the pan.
  4. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it simmers. Do not boil.
  5. Remove from heat, add dark chocolate, and let sit for 2-3 minutes before whisking until smooth. Gradually whisk in room temperature butter.
  6. Pour ganache into the cooled crust, spread evenly, and tap to remove bubbles.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  8. Once set, sprinkle flaky sea salt and top with whipped cream before serving.
