  • 2 slices crusty sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons pesto fresh homemade for best flavor
  • 2 slices Sargento provolone cheese for creaminess and meltability
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter for frying

Cooking Instructions
  1. Spread pesto on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  2. Place provolone cheese on one slice, covering edges for better meltability.
  3. Assemble sandwich with the other slice pesto side down.
  4. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat; then add the sandwich.
  5. Spread additional butter on top and cook until golden brown (5-6 minutes).
  6. Flip sandwich and cook the other side for another 5-6 minutes until golden and melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, let rest a minute, then slice and serve warm.
