Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a large pot over medium-high heat until it comes to a rolling boil.
  2. Remove the pot from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers, stirring gently to submerge.
  3. Cover and steep for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
  4. Strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the hibiscus flowers.
  5. While warm, stir in your preferred amount of sugar until dissolved.
  6. Add fresh lime juice to the pitcher and stir to incorporate.
  7. Slowly mix in 2 cups of cold water to reach desired strength.
  8. Blend diced ripe mango until smooth to create a puree.
  9. Pour the mango puree into the pitcher, stirring thoroughly to combine.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
  11. Serve over ice cubes in glasses.
  12. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
