Step-by-Step Instructions

  3. In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Brush three-quarters of the sauce over the layered sweet potatoes, reserving the rest.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45-50 minutes until tender.
  6. After baking, drizzle remaining sauce, sprinkle with pecans, and top with mini marshmallows.
  7. Broil for 1-2 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown, watching closely.
  8. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow layers to set.
