Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Rinse uncooked rice under cold water until it runs clear. In a saucepan, combine rinsed rice with water or broth and a pinch of salt. Boil, then simmer on low for 15-20 minutes until fluffy.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef or turkey over medium heat for 7-10 minutes. Stir in taco seasoning.
  3. Add drained black beans to the meat, sprinkle with cumin and garlic powder, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  4. Sauté diced onions and bell peppers in olive oil until tender and caramelized.
  5. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork after resting for 5 minutes.
  6. Layer rice, seasoned meat, and beans in bowls, then add toppings.
  7. Drizzle salsa on top and garnish with cilantro and lime wedges.
