  • 0.25 cup Fresh Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed is a must.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Almond extract can be an alternative.
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Opt for cornstarch-free versions.
  • 1 tablespoon Additional Fresh Lemon Juice Adjust for desired thickness.

Method
 

Preparation and Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in lemon zest, juice, and vanilla.
  3. Fold in the flour mixture until just combined and pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden.
  4. Cool the brownies in the pan on a wire rack.
Glazing and Serving
  1. Mix powdered sugar with additional lemon juice and zest until smooth. Pour glaze over cooled brownies.
  2. Let the glaze set for at least 30 minutes, then slice into squares and serve.
