Directions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare and chill your pie crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine pitted cherries, vanilla extract, almond extract, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Stir and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Cut in cold unsalted butter until resembling coarse crumbs.
- Pour the cherry mixture into the chilled pie crust, leaving any excess liquid behind. Sprinkle crumble topping over the cherries.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 425°F (220°C), then reduce to 375°F (190°C) and bake for an additional 35-40 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 20-30 minutes before serving.
