  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric No direct substitute, omit for lighter flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Use less for milder heat
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger Fresh ginger for more flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Essential, use sparingly
For a Sweet Finish
  • 1/2 cup Extra Granulated Sugar For coating the bites

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Dice fresh pineapple into one-inch pieces and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar and apple cider vinegar over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Stir in ground turmeric, cayenne pepper, ground ginger, and salt until well combined.
  4. Add diced pineapple to the syrup, simmer on low for 45 minutes until translucent.
  5. Transfer glazed pineapple to a wire rack to drain excess syrup for 10 minutes.
  6. Roll each bite in extra granulated sugar and set aside to dry for at least 30 minutes.
