Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. To make slicing easier, place the salmon in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the salmon, pat it dry, and slice into ¼-inch planks, then into ¼-inch cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine diced salmon with olive oil, red onion, capers, mustard, lemon zest, lemon juice, and jalapeño. Toss gently.
  4. Let the mixture marinate at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes. Adjust seasoning as desired.
  5. Serve in a bowl or use a ring mold for presentation. Pair with crostini or cucumber slices.
