Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
  3. Add fresh spinach to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted, adding red pepper flakes if desired.
  4. Combine drained spaghetti with garlic and spinach in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water to create a sauce and tossing everything together. Season with salt and pepper.
