- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it’s melted and bubbling.
- Season both sides of the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper. Place the salmon fillets skin-side up in the pan. Cook for about 3-5 minutes.
- Gently flip the salmon fillets and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes, checking that the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Carefully remove the salmon from the skillet and tent with aluminum foil to keep warm.
- Lower the heat and add the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch to the skillet. Whisk together and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the cooked salmon fillets to the skillet, gently turning to coat thoroughly with the glaze.
- Transfer the glazed salmon onto serving plates and garnish with fresh orange slices.
