Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pit and chop 4 Medjool dates into small pieces. Place them in a blender with 1/4 cup milk. Blend until smooth.
  2. In two mason jars, divide 1 cup rolled oats and 2 tablespoons chia seeds. Mix well.
  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt to each jar. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour the blended date mixture and remaining 1.75 cups milk into each jar, and stir to combine. Add honey if desired.
  5. Seal the jars and shake vigorously for 30-45 seconds to mix all ingredients.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4-8 hours, or overnight, to let the oats soak up the liquid.
  7. In the morning, stir the oats and adjust consistency with milk if necessary. Add toppings before serving.
