- Step 1: Prepare the Bread. Start by removing the crusts from 10 slices of soft white sandwich bread. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice to about a ¼-inch thickness.
- Step 2: Mix the Cinnamon Filling. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon until smooth.
- Step 3: Spread the Filling. Take each flattened bread slice and evenly spread the cinnamon filling, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Step 4: Roll It Up. Gently roll each slice of bread tightly from one end to the other, sealing the edges to keep the filling inside.
- Step 5: Whisk the Egg Mixture. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the large eggs, milk, cinnamon, and optional vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Step 6: Heat the Skillet. Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add about two tablespoons of butter for frying.
- Step 7: Dip and Cook the Rolls. Carefully dip each roll in the egg mixture one at a time, ensuring it’s coated but not soaked.
