  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning Alternatively, use Cajun seasoning.
For the Garlic Butter
  • 6 tablespoons Butter Can substitute with olive oil or ghee for dairy-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic Minced, fresh preferred.
For the Finishing Touches
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Apple cider or white wine vinegar can be used instead.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Parsley Chopped, can replace with dill or chives.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Pepper Adjust or omit based on preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease or line your baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Arrange cod fillets in the baking dish, drizzle with garlic butter, and sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of Old Bay seasoning, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper.
  4. Bake for approximately 18 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork and is opaque.
  5. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of lemon juice over the fillets and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of chopped parsley before serving.
